Youth Minister (Part Time) Minor Memorial UMC Minor Memorial UMC in Walls, MS (near Memphis, TN) is seeking a part-time Youth Minister to build upon and strengthen a youth program which currently involves about 15-20 students who participate in Sunday school, Wednesday and Sunday Night Youth, church-wide choir, and special events.

  The Youth Minister will work with youth from junior high through the transition to college years.  Candidates should have a passion for helping teenagers grow as disciples of Christ.  Situated in close proximity to both Lake Cormorant and Horn Lake schools, the community outreach possibilities are tremendous for the Youth Ministry of Minor Memorial UMC.

Candidates must have a personal commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the Christian faith and possess a unique sense of calling to work with youth.  Candidates should be able to build relationships and effectively communicate with youth, young adults, their families, and staff.  Preferred candidates will have an Associate’s degree or higher, previous experience working with youth in the local church, and a solid understanding of United Methodist theology and doctrine.
